The treatment destroys the hair root to stop re-growth, and represents the only alternative to electrolysis for long term removal of hair. Not all hairs are in an active growing stage at the same time and the treatment will need to be repeated several times before the desired result is obtained. Many factors determine how many treatments will be required including but not restricted to age, hormone activity and hair density.
The light pulse is very short giving only a mild sensation during treatment. With each treatment the number of hairs is reduced, leading to long term reduction in a course of 6-12 treatments.
